Dust gently and regularly

Use a clean, soft and dry cloth for routine dusting. A soft brush can reach detailed areas, but avoid force around delicate ornaments and projecting parts.

Clean only when needed

Before using any polish, confirm that the idol is solid brass and does not have a lacquered, painted or antique finish. When unsure, use only a slightly damp cloth and dry it immediately.

Keep in mind

  • Remove jewellery or fabric decorations first.
  • Never use abrasive pads.
  • Test any cleaner on a hidden area.
  • Dry every recess thoroughly.

Handle and store with care

Lift the idol from its strongest base rather than an arm, crown or ornament. Keep it away from moisture and household chemical sprays, which can create uneven marks on the surface.
